Better FPS Render Distance - a mod that adds several performance improvements to increase frames per second. This is the Forge version for better render distances; for the Fabric version, click here: Fabric Render Distance: By default, Minecraft renders everything in a square radius (a cylinder in 1.18), which changes to a three-dimensional circular radius that can be stretched horizontally through the config or video option (the video options button is not available with Optifine). The higher the stretch, the fewer caves below you will be displayed, especially at great distances. Allows for approximately 10-35% fewer chunk sections to be displayed, significantly improving performance. Adds an option that allows stretching the circular render distance horizontally, so instead of a circle, you get an ellipse. That is, if you set a higher value, fewer or more chunk parts below/above you will be displayed. To see this visually, just stand on a high mountain/fly into the air and set the maximum value to 10.
