The quartz is designed in such a way that from a distance it looks somewhat like iron, but still has green and red/pink shades, like real quartz. Also, the author made the stone a bit lighter and made everything brighter. When close, you can easily tell that there is something, but without this context, you can always identify quartz by its turquoise-blue sheen. Another method of detecting quartz is the pink-white glimmers in the lower right corner of the ore deposits and the pink-pink glimmers in the upper left corner of the ore deposits.
