ObserverLib is a library mod for Minecraft that provides reliable monitoring of block changes in a potentially large area with minimal negative impact on performance. This library is public and primarily intended for use in Astral Sorcery starting from version 1.13+. The essence of the mod is the ability to register an observer - the implementation of the observer and what it will observe depends on your implementation. All changes occurring in the world in the observed area are passed on to the observer. The observer then determines what these changes mean: whether they validate its state or invalidate it. For example, whether a structure is fully built or not. The actual state check is done through a request to ChangeSubscriber at the relevant position, and then checking its current state for validity. What makes this mod better than just rechecking a large area? What happens if the area you want to observe is larger than one chunk? What happens if another chunk that you need to check is unloaded? To be sure that nothing has changed and the structure remains intact, the mod must load that chunk and check the block. This is a potential problem if it causes frequent loading and unloading of chunks.
