The Shield Expansion mod radically changes the approach to combat in Minecraft, adding new levels for shields and exciting mechanics such as Off-Guard Cooldown and Parrying. Off-Guard Cooldown temporarily blocks the shield after taking a hit, forcing the player to take active actions. Skillful use of Parrying allows avoiding this cooldown: at the right moment of activating the shield, the player not only deflects the hit but also counters the opponent.
