YUNG's Law is a mod for Minecraft that prevents the destruction of underground mines and stimulates the exploration of interesting caves. The mod offers two modes: replacement mode and ore removal mode. In replacement mode, all underground blocks that are far from caves are replaced with obsidian (or a block of your choice), which effectively prevents the destruction of mines. Ore removal mode simply removes ores that are far from caves instead of replacing all blocks. The block used for replacement is defined by the biome filling block, which is usually stone. With this mode, you can still create cool underground bases!
